Registration:
Code of Conduct
Agreement: Please read and agree to the Code of
Conduct before registering. Loudoun Lacrosse has a zero tolerance
policy for unacceptable behavior. A violation of the intent or
spirit of the following code of conduct is grounds for action up to
an including expulsion from participation in Loudoun Lacrosse for an
individual. In the event a coach, player, or parent violates the
code of conduct, the player, coach, or parent will not be allowed to
participate in the league. In the event that the behavior is by a
parent of a player, the player may also not be allowed to
participate in the league.
Coaches Conduct
§
Demonstrate high ideals, desirable attitudes, and good
sportsmanship and demand the same standards for the players;
§
Maintain self-control at all times accepting adverse
decisions without display of emotion or of dissatisfaction with the
officials;
§
Emphasize the importance of proper sideline behavior
and the necessity of restraining from entering the playing area to
engage in unsportsmanlike physical or verbal behavior;
§
Promote the purpose of competition is to increase the
physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of players and
the value of competition is derived from playing the game fairly;
§
Be modest when successful and gracious in defeat;
§
Provide all players the opportunity to use and develop
initiative, leadership, and judgment;
§
Promote the physical condition and well-being of
players, refusing to jeopardize the health of an individual;
§
Teach athletes that it is better to lose fairly than
to win unfairly;
§
Refuse to disparage an opponent, an official or others
associated with sports activities and discourage gossip and rumors;
§
Supervise participants under his/her immediate care.
Parent Conduct
§
Demonstrate high ideals, desirable attitudes, and good
sportsmanship to demonstrate a positive example to players;
§
Treat all coaches, players, other parents, and board
members with courtesy and respect;
§
Maintain self-control at all times accepting adverse
decisions without display of emotion or of dissatisfaction with the
officials, coaches, players, or board members;
§
Emphasize the importance of proper sideline behavior
and the necessity of restraining from entering the playing area to
engage in unsportsmanlike physical or verbal behavior;
§
Be modest when successful and gracious in defeat;
§
Support all players;
§
Teach athletes that it is better to lose fairly than
to win unfairly;
§
Refuse to disparage an opponent, an official or others
associated with sports activities and discourage gossip and rumors;
§
Help the coaches by being on time at the beginning and
end of practice, encouraging your child to do their best, be
positive, respect practice and game time as the time for coaches to
work with their players, volunteer, volunteer, and volunteer.
Player Conduct
§
Demonstrate high ideals, desirable attitudes, and good
sportsmanship to demonstrate a positive example to teammates;
§
Treat all teammates, coaches, players, other parents,
and board members with courtesy and respect;
§
Never tease, taunt, or make fun of another player;
§
Maintain self-control at all times accepting adverse
decisions without display of emotion or of dissatisfaction with the
officials, coaches, and teammates;
§
Be modest when successful and gracious in defeat;
§
Support all teammates, especially those less skilled
than you;
§
Remember it is better to lose fairly than to win
unfairly;
§
Refuse to disparage a teammate, coaches, opponents,
officials or others associated with sports activities and discourage
gossip and rumors;
§
Help the coaches by being on time to practice -
dressed ready to play with all equipment
§
Make all scheduled practices and games unless you have
school work, illness, injury or family need.
§
Always do your best, be positive, listen to your
coaches, and support your teammates
All participates in Loudoun Lacrosse must agree
and commit to this Code Of Conduct to participate in the program.
